User Guide

How to sign up, set topics, receive letters, and manage replies.

1) Sign up & Sign in

Go to www.bluemesaanalytics.com and click “Open Mentor Zero” or visit /app.html.
Request a magic link: enter your email and choose a topic (Math or Cleaning). Check your inbox and click the link.
The link is one-time and sets a session cookie. If it expires, request a new one.
Admins: your account is flagged in app_admin (or via configured admin emails). Admin links appear when you’re signed in.

2) Set topics & schedule

On the app page, each topic has: enable toggle, context note, preferred send time, and timezone.
Save to apply changes. Enabling with a send time enqueues daily emails; disabling clears pending jobs for that topic.
Use “Send an email now” to queue an immediate letter for a topic.

3) Receiving letters

Letters arrive via email with subject “Mentor Zero: …”. Each includes your context and progress history.
The footer has a login link to manage topics. Use your magic link to sign back in if needed.

4) Replying to emails

Reply directly to a letter: the system parses your reply with AI.
It extracts a “done” flag and a short note; progress is marked for today with your note.
If you want to stop emails, write an unsubscribe request in your reply; AI will detect and disable that topic.

5) Admin features (if admin)

/admin: links to prompts, users, footer, metrics, simulate reply.
Prompts: edit system/user prompts per topic.
Users: activate/deactivate users.
Footer: edit email footer (supports {{login_link}}).
Metrics: snapshot of jobs, sessions, login tokens, counters.
Simulate reply: test reply processing as a user/topic.

6) Tips & troubleshooting

Not logged in?

Request a fresh magic link and open it on the same host (www). Clear cookies if stuck.

No emails?

Ensure topic enabled + send time set. Use “Send an email now” to test.

Unsubscribe

Reply with an unsubscribe request; AI will disable the topic and log it.

Change time/timezone

Update in settings and Save; scheduler re-computes the next run and jobs.
